Victories in 2001 for the Sun Fast 43 and Sun Fast 40 Herbiers Entreprises
For several years now, the chantier Jeanneau has won the Atlantic Trophy with
Jimmy Pahun at the helm. These successive victories (1999 in the Sun Fast 37,
2000 in the Sun Fast 40, and 2001 in the Sun Fast 43) show that a sailboat
initially designed for cruising can become a competitive racer in the IRC class by
simply paying attention to details in crew and boat preparation.

This year, the celebrated trophy was won by the Sun Fast 43 "Team
Jeanneau-Région Ile de France" beating Tom Pouce, a First 40.7.

The third place went to Charette, a Sun Fast 40 " Les Herbiers Entreprises"
co-skippered by Fréderic Bourdereau and Gilbert Cossais.

The Sun Fast 32 i will compete in the Atlantic Trophy 2002 under the flag of the
                Jeanneau Design Team.

THE SUN FAST 43 "REGION ILE DE FRANCE"

WINNER OF THE ATLANTIC CHALLENGE 2001

After 3 victories in the Spi Ouest France, the Obélix Trophy and the Week of la Rochelle, the Sun Fast 43 "Région Ile de France Team Jeanneau" is the big winner of the Atlantic Challenge 2001.

The Sun Fast 43 won easily this championship " Atlantic Challenge " in the category of the cruisers : IRC 4 (the biggest sailing boats).

Jeanneau and Jimmy Pahun dominate this race for the third year running.

This trophy recompenses the polyvalence of the drawing of Daniel Andrieu and the quality of the crew.

The great performance of " Region Ile de France-Team Jeanneau " convinced the Chantiers Jeanneau of trying to participate, for the first time this summer, at the famous Week of Cowes.
